Instructions
To begin, make a list of Google groups whose email aliases you wish to add. We'll use Google Sheets for that. We have designed a list of only five groups. There are only two columns - Email and Aliases. For the demo, we have taken only five groups. However, we can handle hundreds or thousands of groups simultaneously in reality.
Rule Creation
- Log in to your xFanatical Foresight account with your Google Admin account.
- Go to the Rules page.
- Click the blue button at the bottom right to create a new rule.
- In the Select a trigger screen, click Data Uploaded trigger.
- Upload the CSV file containing the updated information.
- Wait for the file to be parsed. After that, click on Next.
- On the Select an action screen, click Add group alias action.
- Grant xFanatical Foresight permission in your Google Workspace account. Once done, status changes to Access granted.
- Select Email in the Group email field and Aliases in the Group alias field.
- Click Review.
- Enter the Rule name, and click Create.

- Click the upload icon, and upload the same CSV file again. This process will take a few seconds.

- A Notification will appear in the top-right corner of the Rules page. Click View All to review the execution status of the rule. The logs show the successful triggering of the rule.
- Alternatively, you can access this information on the Logs page, where successful rule triggers are displayed.
- Now, verify the changes in the Google Admin Console. Navigate to Menu > Directory > Groups. Select the desired Group Name (e.g., [email protected]), then click on Group Information. You will see that the alias [email protected] has been successfully added.
