Organize User Profile Photos in Google Drive

Store the user profile photos in a Google Drive folder. Name each photo with the user’s primary email address for easy identification, e.g., [email protected].

Instructions 

Prepare a CSV file 

List the user email address in a column labeled User Primary Email, whose profile photos will be updated.

Automation Rule Creation

1. Log in to your xFanatical Foresight account with your Google Admin account. 
2. Go to the Rules page and click the New Rule button.
3. Select the Data uploaded trigger from the select a trigger screen.
4. Upload the CSV file containing the updated information.
5. Wait for the file to be parsed. After that, click on Next.
6. On the Select an action screen, click Update user profile action.
7. Grant xFanatical Foresight permission in your Google Workspace account. Once done, status changes to Access granted.
8. In the Primary email field, select the User primary email, and choose the User Profile Photos from a Google Drive folder where the profile photos were stored.
9. Click Review.
10. Enter the Rule name, click Create.

Rule Triggering

• Click the Upload Icon and upload the same .CSV file again.

Automation Verification

1. When the automation is triggered, you will receive a notification in the top right hand corner, typically shortly after the event's start time. 
2. Click on the notification, then select View log to check the details of the automation.
3. Additionally, access the Logs page from the left sidebar to view logs of successful rule triggers. xFanatical Foresight will then bulk upload the users' profile photos from the Google Drive folder to their accounts.
4. Verify the new profile photos in the Google Admin Console.

Notes

• Support both PNG and JPEG formatted photos.
• The photos may be cropped. Recommend to use 1:1 ratio photos and have the profile centered.
• Maximum file size is 5 MB.
