Understanding the Importance of Email Aliases
Email aliases play a significant role in enhancing communication within organizations. They provide flexibility, allowing users to manage multiple email addresses from a single mailbox. However, over time, managing numerous email aliases can become overwhelming and lead to cluttered inboxes. This is where bulk delete users email aliases become essential.
How to bulk delete user aliases using Google Admin Console?
Here are the steps for bulk delete user email aliases with Google Admin Console.
- Sign in to your Google Admin console by using an administrator account.
- Go to Menu > Directory > Users in the Admin console.
- Click on a user's name to open the user settings page. Also, you can find a user's account from the Find a user account.
- On the left-hand side, click on user information section, then click on Add Alternate Emails.
- Then you can find the Remove option next to the email alias. Click on Remove. If you don't see Remove, the alias was automatically added as a domain alias. A domain alias is available for every user; you can't delete it for just one user. Thus, you must delete the domain alias. For more details, go to Remove a domain from your Google Workspace account.
- Finally, click on Save
Now you have bulk deleted user email aliases, but these changes can take up to 24 hours but typically happen more quickly.
