As we continuously develop new features for Safe Doc to bring more values to your schools, Safe Doc supports new policies after you deploy. You can download a sample Safe Doc policy configuration from the Safe Doc customer portal and check out the configurations of the new policies.

Instructions  

Always back up your existing Safe Doc policy configuration in Google Admin Console. The sample Safe Doc policy configuration file does not include your existing policy configuration. Do not simply copy and paste the sample policy configuration.
  1. Sign into Safe Doc Customer Portal.
  2. Go to Dashboard > Licenses.
  3. If you have an annual license, then go to the Annual license pane, click Download Policy Configuration. The downloaded policy file includes the annual license key.

  4.  If you only have the trial license, then go to the Trial license pane, click Download Policy Configuration. The downloaded policy file includes the trial license key.
The policy is in JSON format, but the file is a .txt file.

Here are the key points to consider when downloading the sample Safe Doc policy configuration file:

  • Trial License: If you have a trial license, you can only download the policy configuration file that includes the trial license key.
  • License Expiration: Once the trial license or annual license expires, the policy configuration file is no longer available for download.
  • Latest Maintained Policies: The sample Safe Doc policy configuration file always includes the most up-to-date maintained policies.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the sample policy file?

After you download the sample policy file, open it. Compare it against your existing policy configuration in Google Admin Console. Copy new policies that you want to try to your Google Admin. But we recommend you to create a test OU for testing new policies. Testing new policies on your existing deployment may block unintended features. 

My Download Policy Configuration button is shown gray, what's wrong?

If your trial or annual license has expired, the Download Policy Configuration is disabled. Please purchase an annual license or renew your annual license to download the policy configuration file.
