Automation Setup Instructions
In this section, we guide you through the automation setup in xFanatical Foresight. We have 2 ways to set up automation rules, Set up automation from a template .After completing the automation rule, verify whether the automation meets your requirements.
Set Up Automation From a Template
Supported plans: xFanatical Foresight Elite plan.
- Sign into xFanatical Foresight with your Google Admin account.
- Go to the Templates page.
- Search Document merge: automate generation of personalized documents and click on it.
- In the Templates > Document merge: automate generation of personalized documents page, click Copy rule.
- For the first time use of the template rule, an dialog Action needed will display requesting necessary permissions required to copy the rule. Click Connect with Google and authorize the permissions.
- Upon authorization, a dialog titled Copy of document merge: automate generation of personalized documents will display.
- Click Next.
- Click on the Upload file to Drive action.
- In the Edit actions > Upload file to Drive screen,
- (Optional) In the Google Drive folder field, select the target folder where you want to store the newly generated document.
- Click Review.

- In Rule name, customize the automation rule name.
- Click Create.
- The rule is created in the Rules page.

Verify Automation
To ensure that your rule setup automates as expected, it’s essential to conduct a simple test. The following instructions demonstrate how xFanatical Foresight automates the bulk generation of personalized documents through the document merge feature.
- Go to xFanatical Foresight.
- Go to the Templates page.
- Search Document merge: automate generation of personalized documents and click on it.
- Click on the Download sample CSV file button.
- In the CSV file, replace the sample data with the actual information you want to populate in the document. The required columns include Date of Agreement, Receiving Party Name and Receiving Party Address.
- Click on

- Upload the CSV file prepared in Step 5 of the Verify Automation section to proceed with the automation.
- Wait for the CSV file to be processed and receive a notification in the top right of xFanatical Foresight. In the notification message, click View log.
- In the Logs > Log details page, the Rule history section explains the automation history and task xFanatical Foresight has automated on behalf of your Google account.
- Verify that the document has been personalized by the automation with the correct data.
Notes
- Once the automation rule is configured, the admin needs to upload the CSV file. After that, xFanatical Foresight seamlessly takes over and generates personalized documents in bulk by merging the data with the chosen template.
- The CSV file should match the required format and include the correct headers to ensure accurate data mapping. During execution, each placeholder in the template is automatically replaced with the corresponding values from the CSV, producing fully customized documents.
- Each time the rule runs, you will receive a notification in the app indicating whether the automation was executed successfully.
- Depending on the number of records in the CSV, processing may take a few minutes as the system generates and finalizes the documents efficiently.
- To use the automation, admins need to Whitelist xFanatical Foresight in Google Admin Console first.
