About the role

We are looking for a UX/UI Designer (a remote, mid-level position) to join our software development team. This role is ideal for designers with hands-on experience in creating user-centered designs who are passionate about problem-solving and innovation. You will be responsible for designing intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly experiences and interfaces for our software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to turn business and technical requirements into practical, thoughtful design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Independently design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and experiences for web applications, from concept to implementation.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other team members to turn business requirements into wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Take ownership of assigned product features or tasks, independently solving design challenges and making thoughtful design decisions.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to identify pain points, validate design ideas, and improve user experiences.
  • Create and maintain user flows, journey maps, design components, and other UX/UI deliverables.
  • Build, maintain, and improve design systems to ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility across products.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and provide clear design specifications and handoff materials.
  • Identify usability issues and proactively suggest improvements to existing products and workflows.
  • Stay up to date with UX/UI trends, design tools, and best practices, applying relevant ideas to improve product experiences.
  • Actively participate in design reviews, share ideas, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Provide design guidance and mentorship to junior designers.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of professional UX/UI design experience and a bachelor's degree in Design, Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of visual design fundamentals (color, typography, layout, spacing), user-centered design principles, and usability best practices.
  • Ability to independently create wireframes, high-fidelity UI designs, and interactive prototypes.
  • Experience designing user-friendly interfaces for web applications, with a strong focus on usability and consistency.
  • Familiarity with design systems, reusable components, and responsive design principles.
  • Ability to understand complex requirements, solve design problems, and explain design decisions clearly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple design tasks.
  • Openness to feedback, continuous learning, and collaboration.
  • A professional portfolio showcasing real-world projects, design processes, visual design skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support collaboration with developers is a plus.
  • Experience with AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Adobe Firefly) and conversational UI prototyping is a plus.
