Here's a brief run-through of what to expect from our hiring process. All of the interviews are virtual meetings over Google Meet. We recommend you to set up a quiet room with a stable internet connection for the remote interviews.
Step 1 - Initial Interview
The first step in your path is a quick 15-min interview to assess whether you're a potential fit to our position. The interview is to learn your basic information, e.g. education, skills, work experience, job status. This interview has 1 interviewer.
Step 2 - Technical Interview - Assessment
Following your initial interview, we assess your technical knowledge relevant to this role. You will answer technical questions related to computer science and engineering. This interview appointment slot is set to 30 minutes. Only 1 interviewer is in this interview.
Step 3 - Technical Interview - Live Coding
After assessing you as a potential candidate, we are now further evaluating your programming skills. This interview appointment slot is set to 90 minutes. Only 1 interviewer is in this interview. To prevent unforeseen issues, prepare the development environment.
- Install Visual Studio Code with the Live Share extension if you haven't.
- Ensure a fast and stable internet connection.
- Get familiar with basic programming in JavaScript.
The interview is structured as follows.
- Project setup (30 minutes)
- You share the fullscreen with the interviewer.
- The interviewer will share a project with you via Live Share with you.
- You understand the requirements, development environment, and ask any questions before the coding challenge.
- Coding challenge (60 minutes). You will solve problems, develop and test solutions in JavaScript, and communicate with the interviewer.
Step 4 - Panel Interview
After you demonstrate a strong technical competency, we will notify you to book a 1 hour panel interview with more than 1 interviewer. The interview is mostly non-technical. We mainly focus on your soft skills to find whether you're a good team and cultural fit to our company.
Step 5 - HR Interview
This is the final 60 minute interview to discuss your compensation package and employment terms. Key oral agreements, e.g. salary structure, in the interview will be written to the offer letter.
